How do I become a Mod on one of these survival games servers?

You'd have to fill out an application in the correct places. The application forms can be found here (scroll down until you find Moderator, not Creative Moderator).
I suggest using a word program (Notepad, Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, etc.) by copy and pasting the Mod Application Form into there. Fill the form out and create a thread here. Paste your filled Mod Application and anything else.

I don't think they're going to be accepting a Moderator Application until they get their Administrators back (I'm told that by fellow applicants, anyways .-.), so this isn't the best time to send an application, but if you want to do it, do it!
