Sorry, but what are tier 2 chests?

I really don't know what tier 2 chests are, can somebody tell me this?
Because somtimes i see the word in forums xD

Tier 2 chests are a type of chests with better stuff in them. They contain cooked food, arrows, diamonds, etc. There's also clocks and compasses to make sure you don't get stuff that's too good.

All the chests at the cornucopias are tier 2, and there are several more scattered around the maps. They're usually hard to get.
