ooh all the sprint update does is make it a bit easier to start the sprint, tbh its nothing like BSM

Well if you are holding the sprint key you do keep a sprint from what I noticed; even when I would hit blocks I would maintain my sprint. I wouldn't know what BSM is like since I have never tried it.

You mean... make it 10x easier.

It will bring alot of skill out of the game. For one it will probably destroy most uses for the fishing rod. For two it will mean that flint and steeling will be almost pointless.

So, sprinting is no longer a skill... Fishing rods are useless in battles... MCSG needs to downgrade to 1.2.5. Not joking.

Everyone seems to forget that BSM allows you to sprint in all directions. As of currently, this snapshot does not include that. Therefore, BSM should probably still be illegal.

As I have already pointed out; BSM only allows you to sprint in all directions in Singleplayer, not Multiplayer.

I'm just happy that I can still double tap forward. Holding a key just doesn't seem right to me.

Well actually with BSM, you can just press it once, but it's still not as cool as double-tapping "w"

One of the main reasons BSM made it easier to run because it allowed you to sprint for indefinite periods, whereas Minecraft sprint only lasted for 30~ seconds at a time, requiring you to restart your sprint every half minute. The question is, will Mojang keep the 30 second sprint? Or will they add the indefinite sprinting period that BSM has?

You can still double tap W to activate sprint in 1.7.
