It looks amazing, but the gameplay isn't as good as previous maps.
I do like how they used the snow, though.

And I couldn't find any tier 2 chests, but that's just my luck.

I played a few times before, I lost.

But when I went into singleplayer mode and made a chest route, I went straight for an open server. I didn't go to the corn, and went straight on my route. When I finished the route, I had an iron chestplate, golden boots, and I think the rest was leather. When the sun was setting, I went for the refill, and I was the only one there. (I think the others were exploring the map.) In deathmatch, they both had leather armor, and I had full iron with one chain piece (I forgot what it was) and one of them jumped in the hole. I don't know why, maybe they didn't know lightning would zap them... but then the other guy jumped in too. And then I was declared victor!

It's a really great map, I love the way how it has the "end of the world" (day after tomorrow) theme and that it's New York frozen over. I see the reason people hate it so much, which is the lag. But when you take into consideration that everyone else has lag too, you all have the same chance. No one won't have lag, unless you have a really good computer. I don't like the lag, but I love the map. I really hope MCSG will fix the lag. (I said lag too much. :3)

I agree completely. Coincidentally, my first win on the map ended the same way: two ignorant people hopping in a death hole

Better than expected, of course. But the lag... I did not expect.

No it isn't. It WILL be skipped in favor of Breeze or SG 4.

While I've only played one game on here, personally I feel that it could become my favorite map, surpassing even SG 2. I love the theme, and was actually thinking of making a similar map before this came out. The corn is absolutely ingenious, and is a perfect equalizer in both Deathmatch and a race for chests (as well as making it much more difficult to defend corn from attacks from above!). The buildings are fantastic (though I do disapprove of the large empty buildings reminiscent of those in SG 2). The two main complaints I've heard about the map are: Too laggy, and the snow half blocks make running weird. However, I have found this map to be the least laggy of all the maps (though, then again, I never experience FPS lag, just server side), and I think the concept of running through snow is brilliantly executed. It is different than any other map, and it's pulled off with aplomb.

My two complaints about the map would be the lack of tier two chests, and the fact that there are some areas that are just TOO empty (though the general feeling of emptiness greatly adds to the atmosphere).

With skills you don't need any good gear from tier 2:s to win. Well... You have 462 wins

Seriously, how can you guys lag? I have a rubbish PC and I get like 50+ fps. If it lags get the optifine mod or something. If someone has 2000+ points and they say it lags then how did they win so many times?

They're good enough to play well despite lag

And many of them (such as me) get server side lag as opposed to client side (FPS) lag.

Really? I usually end up jumping down first, looting 3 tier 2's, then running out a tunnel, getting a sword, and running back in to murder all the slow people :3
