You're not exactly helping by making a rant thread. If everyone just reported a hacker when they see one, MCSG would have less hackers. Communities fault, not the moderators.

Anti cheats aren't usually good. The MCSG one is great thankfully, but the more complicated it becomes, the more likely it will malfunction. For the slower people, anti malfunctioning = innocent people being banned.

The point is, you're the best anti cheat. Donate 5 minutes of your life to report a hacker. Because you wont be doing anything productive in that 5 minutes anyway.

If you are good at PvP, you will always find a way to beat the hackers...

Ok, I may go on a bit of a rant, but I just really don't like these threads..

Ok, so EU seems to have a huge hacker problem. "73,975 players have played 20,868 games over the past 24 hours." We have about 120 mods, who get on at multiple times of the day. Some of them aren't even on, they may be on vacation or on break. On top of that, mods need to moderate the forums and teamspeak, not just in game. The fact is that for each player there is 0.00162162162 mods. We simply cannot be everywhere at once. That is why we have report abuse. If you see a hacker, report them or poke a mod on ts. Sure, you probably will die that game, but then the hacker will be dealt with if he was actually hacking. If you value winning the game more than dealing with a hacker, well I just have a problem with that. That may just be my values because I'm a mod, but to me that is a little selfish. The community comes first in my opinion.

Anyways, the report abuse isn't there for just reporting hackers. For example, lets say you get on teamspeak and you poke a mod. Since sometimes mods don't need to respond to pokes, they just deal with the situation (i.e. someone pokes me "Hacker in us__, name ______, I usually just deal with the situation rather than replying back), so you poke them saying "Are you there?" They don't respond. Then, check their idle time. If their idle is more that 10 seconds give or take, they are probably afk for a short bit. If their idle time is greater than 30 minutes or so, they are probably afk and will be for a while. If their idle time is 0, that means that they aren't idle and the should have received your poke. In this case, poke them again with "Did you get that?". Make sure it has been a decent bit, because if you poke them again after 10 seconds they may have been doing something and just started replying to your poke. If they still don't respond, you can report this mod to Sr. Staff, but make sure you have decent evidence of when you poked them and checking their idle time.

Lastly, if you ever need someone on ts, see if I'm on and poke me. I may be afk, but other than that I will always try and help you. Thread Locked.
