The Case of the Disappearing Tier 2 Chests

I don't know if anybody's noticed, but the only tier 2 chests on any map seem to be the corn! On one of the maps, 0 of 9 previous tier 2 chests on my route are still tier 2. Is this a bug? Why is this happening????

I'm just going to go with my usual answer, bugs. I'd only imagine there would be bugs within a new update and I'm sure the Devs are working hard to solve your problems

I think they were gonna try to return all tier 2s to their rightful spots/good locations since some maps were reverted to their vanilla format.

Huh? Do you mean that's why the chests were moved, or that they still have to fix them? My routes have always had those tier 2 chests until recently....

they're re-adding them. the v2 update reverted some maps back to old versions with OP chest locations, and so they're probably resetting and reconfiguring the tiers.
