The Chest Theory

Chests are not filled with items until a player opens it. That's why there is sometimes a short delay after opening a chest before the items appear. When a chest is opened, your inventory is scanned and the chest is filled mostly with items you already have.

On multiple occasions, I have searched more than 20 chests for a bow or arrows. After finding said items, every single chest I opened had them.

The chests are trolls trying to ruin the lives of players. They are tired of being "opened" and some day, they will "open" players and take over MCSG!

I'm going to disagree with this as this never happens to me I always find some I don't have until I need something then it never turns up. So I'll will now propose a new Theory. Chest are filled upon game start. Right as you open it it scans your inventory looks at what you have and can craft. Then it decides if you can craft a weapon with what you have it will take away arrows or armour. Then it will check your inventory if you craft and item with an object that you don't have it will remove that object from the chest. Ex: I have 2 iron but no stick I open a chest but before i see the items the chest will remove the sticks because it sees that I would be able to make an iron sword with that. Then when I search more chests eventually they decide I have searched through enough chests and i deserve a reward. Chest are animals too. We just treat them as if they aren't. (yes we open their bellys grab what we need and throw stuff in or not and then we close the belly.

This would mean you get more stuff if you didnt have anyhing in your inventory...

Whenever I have 2 diamonds I can never find that one fracken stick.

I have never laughed at chests taking over MCSG so much :D

False, that is called lag, as the client needs to recieve the information from the server from the map which contains the chest.
