Hello, I mostly don't know how to recognize a tier 1 to a tier 2 chest unless I look at it's loot, and then assume, whereas I will most probably be wrong as well. Does anyone have a strategy of some sort to difference them? If so, reply ;)

Teir 1 chests include leather armor, wood swords and axes, stone swords and axes, flint and steel, fishing rods, sticks, iron ingots, gold ingots, low saturation foods (melons, cookies, fish) decent foods(bread, pumpkin pie, carrots, apples) they can also contain stuff to craft arrows and probably other stuff I'm forgetting.
Teir 2 chests include gold, chain and iron armor with stone swords. You also will find boats, and good saturation foods (steack, pork, soup), flint and steel, golden apples and diamonds.

Its also a good idea to know where some of the tier 2 chests in a map and form a chest routes, chest routes are when you go the same direction every time you play a map to grab some chests you know will have some good stuff.
I hope this helped and that tier1s and 2s will be easier to figure out!

there isn't a difference between a tier 1 and tier 2 if your looking from the outside. so the best tactic is to remember the places of the tiers.

First off, if a map is kind of new, the tier 2 chests will be Ender Chests. However, they get converted to normal chests once the game begins.

Tier 1:___________________________Tier 2:
-leather armor---------------------------------------------gold armor
-wooden axes or swords---------------------------------chain armor
-stone axes or swords------------------------------------iron armor
-flint----------------------------------------------------------stone swords
-sticks--------------------------------------------------------boats
-feathers-----------------------------------------------------flint and steels
-boats???----------------------------------------------------bows???
-fishing rods------------------------------------------------golden apples
-bows---------------------------------------------------------good food
-mediocre food---------------------------------------------iron
-gold----------------------------------------------------------diamonds
-iron------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pro Tip:
Cooked Chicken can only be found in tier 2 chests. You will almost always have less of it than other food. Eat it first to save inventory room!

To kind of add on to the discussions, you might want to look up some chest route videos on YouTube for popular maps, because you'll probably be playing these maps a lot! Here are a few to get you started!

The only difference between tier 1's and tier 2's is the items that are found inside them.
