My point was that you gave no reason why it is worth trying to keep a very outdated version of Minecraft on the network any longer with all the disadvantages in mind.

Here's a simple question to you, would you like to see 80% of MCSG's players disappear in a week? No? didn't think so that's why the 1.7 'outdated version of minecraft' is still about all thought with this said, it is true that it's outdated af but the new versions are just not for PvP are they now. And in fact I actually like 1.9 it's pretty cool it's just not suitable for a 'PvP server' like this. Cause once 1.7 support is dropped along with 1.8 support in about 2 years the server will most likely lose all its players and make a new community for all we know MCGamer could possibly in the future become a server like mineplex or hypixel. So good day sir I'm going to go enjoy the last moments of 1.7 for about a year

To be honest im both for and against for 1.9, I usually play on 1.7.10 because of the way the sword is animated when block hitting, unlike 1.8. However 1.8 somehow always allows me to hit a larger hitbox than 1.7.

In 1.9 really didnt really like the weapon cool down cuz with the cool down, SG isnt gonna really be fast paced and intense at all. And 1.9 has all those kinds of fancy shields which i dun really think i can accept it as i think its too complicated and advanced, requiring players to act more (in terms of using the shield to block etc) in the same amount of time, i think that the pvp aspect of minecraft should just be plain and simple however i might change my mind after a few months.

All in all, I do hope to anticipate good features in 1.9 that is positive like the larger hitbox in 1.8. But for now im just gonna stick to 1.7.10 or 1.8 to see what the staffs are gonna do abt 1.9 and if in the end the staffs decided to only have support for 1.9, i will still respect their decision.

Lad, people don't like 1.9 legacy for the same reason you're saying we're haters, BECAUSE IT MAKES THE DEVS WORK ON FIXING BUGS AND GLITCHES IN THE LEGACY 1.7-1.8-1.9 SERVER. People don't like 1.9 because it completely ruins the PvP system, but ok, the Devs said they will not allow this, that's great, but now they have to face the bugs and glitches in the Legacy compatibility. The Devs are going to these huge lenghts to just get pretty much the 30% of the features of 1.9, that no one really cares about

i hate 1.9

but in a clan battle could you imagine two clans holding shields and holding swords in both hands, it kinda is cool xD and if your clan needs to retreat use the wings to fly away lol 0_o but if it updates to 1.9 im still going to play on mcgamer and test it out but its a 70 out of 100 i'd quit ;') already have csgo

If MCGamer would fully update to 1.9 the whole community would divide again, just like in 1.8.

Don't get me wrong, there are good sides to the update such as the amends to the End, boats and horses. But in my opinion, really only from an SMP creative/aesthetic perspective, not necessarily SG or PvP in general. Maybe we'll all get used to it as time goes by..
