Hey everyone I've been working on a 24 player 640x640 Survival Games map called "Traces of Liberty" (name might change) with a couple of friends. It's a quite traditional map combining best elements of both official MCSG maps.

Please tell me what you'd like to see in a survival map and I'll try to implement your ideas. Complaints about old maps are also welcome as I'll try to not make the same mistakes.

The end goal is to have a more challenging and skill based map where everything isn't based around cornucopia (a lot of comebacks), also we obviously want to become official.

All the terrain is custom created with WorldPainter:

(Plains around spawn, forest to the north, jungle to the south)

Spawn:

A town close to spawn:

A cave close to spawn:

A broken building inside mountain wall at spawn:

(all of these and more were created withing one day)

UPDATE 13.6.2012

Updated town near to spawn

A jungle dungeon

The Shrine of Knowledge

A village

A brickroof village with a working redstone vault

...And so much more!

Thanks for reading ~Blodir
(map being created with help of Ferg505, TooFatTooFurious and Regum)

Looks good! But I not liking the idea with pines and jungle together.

Thanks! To clarify, pines and jungle aren't exactly together they have plains biome (which is going to be the location for a large town) and spawn between them.

Also I like variation, it'd be boring to only have jungle or pine.

As I can see so far there is a cliff at the south of the cornucopia, that makes it unfair for the ones that spawn at the south and want to run away.

Your buildings look a little square, and need more detail but otherwise it looks good :) kudos

I'm about to make "safe" buildings close to spawn so you can escape and destroy the vines after you relatively easily. Cliff doesn't really give a big advantage nor disadvantage.

Hmm I just thought buildings generally look a bit square? Well I guess I should put in more L shapes and such.

Thanks for replying everyone! :)

But on the same island... Pine are in the North and Jungle are more in the south! Not in the same area!
