US Servers Getting Lots of Server Lag?

I've been playing on US servers lately after playing on CA servers a lot, and I'm noticing a lot of server lag coming from US servers. It's not only me, but other people in the server too. Is there a fix to this, or is this something MCSG needs to fix?

Now that optifine is out, MCSG will become 1.7 only which will fix alot of the lag.
