What are some clever routes to take in maps 1, 2, and 3?

I personaly just explore the map(s) first, and then, memorize the places that are the hardest to get to ,and go for them first.

Well nessicarily, not all chests are going to have better stuff, but some chests I found are programmed like cornucopia chests. I often find golden/chain armor at the cathedral on map 2. Also easy to get.

If you want to find a chest route, look for chests that are near the cornucopia, and are nearby other chests. Also make sure that it's not a popular route or you'd want to get there first.

Tier 2 chests are good too, there's a lot of them in map 2 and map 4 but keep in mind that they can be a bloodbath location.
