What is the core update?

During the TS Developer Q&A session yesterday, Devin mentioned the core update.
What is this core update exactly?

I believe someone mentioned that it was mainly behind-the-scenes stuff, such as Moderator commands, how the system handles things, etc.
Not sure, though. I made a giant bowl of potato salad during it c:

The core update sounds awesome. Probably most of the updates for moderators ;-;

The core update is going to be an upgrade to the system that MCSG runs on. This will take care of many issues and performance bugs that the user won't directly notice. Essentially, it will make the servers run much more efficiently, but you won't notice much of a difference.

What @GotCubes said. It won't be anything user-visible for the most part, but it's a complete overhaul of how our data is stored and accessed, which will take care of performance issues. It also brings a new ban panel for staff, among other things.

Core update will basically overhaul everything that needs to be updated, making it easier to add/access things, Just as Devin stated above. It will also come with smaller things like that, and any of the bugs that are with the chest updated, the potatoes for instance

Well, I think someone during the Q&A mentioned the Cannon thing, which was probably why he brought it up.
