So, first of all, I would just like to point out that this thread will contradict itself for the simple reason that without its existence, it's main point might never be put across, and someone needs to say it at least once.
Answer anyone's question?

Now, a moderator deal with the thread in question, but, in my opinion, not well enough or to the full extent necessary. When locking that thread, the moderator simply went along with what the others were saying, rather than actually stating the obvious, and saying that it is wrong to actually make those threads in the first place.

I apologize in advance if I didn't deal with the thread properly, I was admittedly in a bit of a rush. However, I must attest to the fact that I just "simply went with what the others were saying."

I admittedly skimmed through a lot of stuff, but I saw enough to know a flame war was in progress, and more were brewing. It was also pretty much a recreation of a already locked thread. Never, however, did I say anything hurtful or insulting to anybody in that thread, nor did I agree with anyone. I tried to keep it as non-one sided as possible, if that makes sense.

In the future, I really advise that you PM a staff member about something like this first, before making a thread about it. I could have cleared some things up a bit more in a PM with you. Not everything needs to be something for the public to see. I'll go into this more ahead:

Now, this adds to my growing distrust of the staff decisions. I really think that something should be done about this, and it is really not a this-person-made-a-rude-post-so-lets-lock-it-so-we-don't-look-bad matter.

This is what bothers me the most...how would that thread make the staff look bad in any way? My only reason for dealing with it was to stop any pointless flame wars. Any other threads that can make the staff look bad are dealt with because making the staff look bad to the community solves absolutely no issues. There is a fine line between a community trying to help us by telling us what's wrong in the staff, and the community just trying to make the staff look bad for no reason. A thread that's telling everyone we have falsely banned certain people will do nothing but make the community worry about getting falsely banned themselves. This ruins their experience. Constant worrying about a ban that probably won't ever happen...and even if it was likely, is worrying about it stopping it from happening? Maybe, but only by making your experience suck, through the combination of stress and playing terribly for fear of "playing too good"...

...Seriously. PSA's about how the staff is doing something wrong is not the way to do it. Bring it up to the staff privately, so that it can all be solved without causing the community such stress. This is the kind of thing that stresses me out when I moderate. It's not hackers making me lose games, followed by me spending 20 minutes to ban them after, as frustrating as that is sometimes...it's people thinking that the staff are incapable. It doesn't bother me because it's negative thoughts about my group, it bothers me because some of you guys have quit because of the stress it's caused you. It bothers me because some of you guys (not all of you.) will even play the game worse than you're capable of for fear of being falsely banned for hacking...

...And then we try to solve these problems. We make some changes in staff, whether it being demoting a liked mod, promoting a mildly disliked person, or even just a slight rule change, etc. What do we get when we attempt any of these things? Some of you guys throwing around insults and remarks about how we dealt with it, (Not targetting anyone here, but we get tons of it for a lot of things, such as some demotions we've done.) (And civil stuff, but if it's public, it turns bad fast anyway.) when you don't even have the whole context of the situation...We want to fix the issues you guys keep talking about, but every time we try, you guys start getting even more worried about our staffing. Then people get more stressed. More insults are thrown, whether it be at the staff, or regular users, with all the disagreements about the staffing...

So much arguing, and drama...It feels like we can't fix it. Every time we try, it gets worse...then it dies down, we work farther towards it, but it gets worse again...it feels like we're going backwards. We can't please everyone, but I still feel like we could please a much larger number. This is what's been bothering me recently. Not some losing streak or anything...I want to read this section of the forums to read about the game. People having fun playing it, sharing their thoughts, and having a good laugh...But I can't go a single thread without seeing an argument. 5 or so threads later...oh look! Another thread that's spiraled into "The staff does a terrible job at banning hackers! They're just banning the good players! It's a conspiracy!"

We hear you guys. We are trying to fix what actually is wrong...you'll have to trust that we can, alright? You guys are awesome, but sometimes, you guys take trying to help way too far. At this point...it's not helping. Spending an afternoon trying to get a demoted staff member back on staff making us spend our afternoon talking about it, dealing with it, stressing out about some of it, and an afternoon we aren't working on fixing the other issues you guys have warned us about. We appreciate your concerns about a certain demotion or decision, but when it's taken too far...it's not helping anymore.

...Sometimes, I wish everyone in this world could just understand each other for once.

...I really apologize. I really had to get that out of my system. ._.

Edit: Just saw another thread you could have been referring to that I have no involvement in. Not sure which one you were referring to. Regardless, what I said still stands.
