I've seen this before. Your texture pack does not have a sprite, or whatever the term is for that item, so it just shows up as blank.

The Devs derped when they wanted to add potatoes in and took the wrong ID for it because potato plants are also called potato but has a diffrent ID to the potatoes that you can actually eat XD
