Honestly, it's a hard pick for me who I think is the "best" now.
egrodo says he's never beat Sixzoseven from what he can remember, but I feel like I don't have too much trouble fighting Sixzo anymore, (still a lot more trouble than fighting many others) whereas egrodo gives me an extremely tough time almost every time I fight him...It's simply the way we all PvP and how the styles "react" with each other - I'm better at close range, melee combat with the fishing rod, egrodo is better at long range, and Sixzo is an all round "average" (and by average, I mean really good at both, I'm just "better" at melee and "worse" at range, same with egrodo but the other way around. This is is just a guess from my experience fighting him - I'm not sure if there is anything he is really exceptional at.)

I can bring this into a discussion on other fighting styles - for example, the way nate252 fights melee completely demolishes my strategy and messes up my fighting, although against most other people, I don't believe his style is as effective as some others like mine.

One wouldn't think Minecraft to really have too many fighting styles other than "block hitting, jumping for criticals, and strafing" but in all honesty, I've seen many, many different fighting styles in my time - think of it like pokemon types - for every fighting style, there is things it's "good" against, "bad" against, and "average" against - the style nate252 uses may be "super effective" against mine, but "not very effective" against egrodo's or Sixzo's...The difference here from normal pokemon is that there are styles that are super effective against almost all other styles with few weaknesses, and styles that aren't good against anything and have little purpose...egrodo with a bow is good against just about anything, since most other styles are more "melee" based, so they don't have an effect, although his style requires arrows, which makes him an easier target when he's low on them. (he's still really good at melee, don't get me wrong, I just don't think he's quiet as good as Sixzo or I. He's got more weaknesses.)

Anyway, in this extremely long post - the point I'm trying to make is that there is no one person who is "better" than every other person. There will always be someone better than him, and someone better than the guy who's better than him...through this method of thinking, you will come to realize that everyone would be better than him, which doesn't make sense since he is clearly better than many of them...long story short - the person who's better is the person who's fighting style wins against the most opponents possible. As such, egrodo is probably the "best" right now in my opinion, since most people in this thread think he is the one that gave them the most trouble. However, this isn't exactly considering the fact that he may have had many arrows against every single one of these people...many of them may have survived until deathmatch...and guess when egrodo is likely to have arrows? So...I think I'm just trying to say that determining the best really just is impossible. The sheer amount of variables is too much to calculate. If I had to, I would still vote egrodo, since he's the "best" when provided the right amount of materials, which he can usually get, and still awesome without them...as far as anyone can calculate, yes, he is the best.

TL;DR: If anyone is the "best" right now, I'd say it's egrodo. There are many other variables involved, though, and in enough ways, egrodo is worse...there are other people who are better than him, but that doesn't make them the best even though he is...it's hard to explain, just read the post. >.>

Many things said in this post were examples or otherwise guess information, just as a note. I made many assumptions, too. :p (for example, I really don't know what Sixzo is exceptional at in combat, so I took a guess at him being an "all round".)

I completely agree with this entire post. The sad thing is that egrodo got perm banned for "hacking". When in my mind he really got banned for being too good at a game. And he has videos showing off his PvP skills using a non-hacked client, so I really don't understand why he got banned. :/

FML.
Just wrote four paragraphs.. pressed back and couldn't retrieve it.

Here we go again;
To me, it's all down to brain power and tactics.
If you think about it, the twenty best players from each country are all similar in skill.
Imagine a fight between G33ke, Blamph, Egrodo and Zeno , these players are all very similar skill wise. If they all just sprinted at each other and used basic tactics, it'd be a very even fight. But, as G33k said, style of pvp plays a huge role. Another example is myself VS Elisha.
80% of the time, he'll beat me, that scarce occasion of me winning is a wonderful occurrence :p. Now, when we fight, I notice we have fairly similar tactics and generally it's he'll land six or so hits, whilst I'll get four or five on him. Now, me against say.. Hendrick, he'll almost always beat me. Just because I find him so much harder to beat, but Elisha beats/put up a much better fight again him than me. And it does come down to style, whether it be the a critter V a block hitter, it doesn't really matter.

To be the best, you need a variation on everyone's style. I feel you need the positives of each, and very few of the negatives. Hackers also make a difference here, as certain players (NingaristicNinga) seem extremely capable of killing them without to much hassle, whereas to others, they are extremely difficult. Being able to take in your surroundings, come up with a tactic and pulling it off are all major factors in determining who is the best. Whilst I can take most players in a sword fight, many of them are better with a bow/use flint and steel well.

This brings me to my next point; connection.
I am pretty god damn crap at using my bow these days, because of connection. When I fire a shot, 75% of the time it takes another three seconds for the arrow to be released. Another 24% of the time, the shot doesn't register at all. And lastly, the one in a hundred times it fires perfectly, I'm expecting it to take a few moments, so I try to predict where he'll be and.. it doesn't work. Dragontixan on other hand, fires his bow and his arrow comes straight out, being one of the reasons he's so damn good (He's very good anyway, but it's a factor).
Seeing as I can hardly use a bow, this gives me a disadvantage in Pvp, making me worse. I also have to play on Tiny/Fast (as do many others) which again, affects our play.

Lastly, reliability.
I'm not sure if it was Six or someone else, but they were saying how he had off games and great games. To be the best, you need to be consistent. To me, people such as Blamph are very consistent and really, it pays.

I was going to include some more info about style but you may as well read G33ke's :p.

It's my opinion that in AU Elisha/Hend/Devilic is the best.
In the US/EU, there's about ten players whom could all be the best, but all seem to have a flaw which for another one of them, is one of their specialities. So really, to me, there isn't a best player really, they are all pro.

People may have a better time tracking the best players on MCSGV2. Global rank may happen...just sayin.

Personally I've found that it's Egrodo's sword skills that make him so tough to deal with, not his ranged skill. Admittedly, he is very good at those characteristic 180 degree turns followed by a bow shot, but overall I feel that I could outplay him in a purely ranged battle. He truly shines in melee though, blending a perfect combination of strafing, quick turns, and really ungodly fast clicking. As far as bow skills go, I would probably end up ranking either myself or Dragontixan as the best, but in melee I have to give the trophy to Egrodo.

Seeing as there's an EU and US top player list, I demand an AU one.

Id say Hanfi or Sixzo.

Sixzo in my opinion is anazing overall, but especially in close combat.

Hanfi is okay in sword fight.(amazing but not the best) But hanfi is anazing with tactics. Hes beat me loads of tines when I started with an upperhand. I think hes awesome.

You have me. ;)

Oh and Gaga, make an AU list or I'll bully you and take your lunch money.
Online date?

Also, I'm already to poor to buy lunch, I just eat scraps.

But seeing as I'm nice:
1. Elisha
2. Hend
3. Devilic
4.Wilma
5. Pie
6. Ugo
7.Tomo
8. Nick
9. Jake/Me/Aus
I'd put Brodina on , but I dunno where he'd go.
I know he's not number one but he seems to barely play these days, So I can't really judge.
Apparently Saza can beat him so... perhaps #10

If this list is incorrect, please contact Sazaking

Don't tell Tomo... But I can beat him in a fair fight with 4 hearts left on average. (But he's still beast)

If Ugo didn't have a bow I could beat him every time. xD

Back in the day pie could beat me, but before he quit I was getting most of the wins when we played against eachother.

Wilmon is better than me, but I think he should be higher in the list imo.

Devilic is pretty good, I'd say we're equal tbh;

I haven't fought Hend... I need to 1v1 him. xD

Elisha is on my level too, I think. He's good but I don't think he deserves #1, but definitely in top 3.

The thing is though, all these people have better internet than me or they live in Singapore, I average on 1000 MS now, with spikes up to 2/3000

I swear, when I get my new router...

#Darkfornumberone2013

My list:

#1 LeWilmon, He's amazing at the game in all honesty, he's extremely hard to beat. :L

#2 Hendrick, just cause I've heard he's really good. (Seen him fight and he's beast, but I can't compare him to many people :/)

#3 Elisha, nuff said

#4 Devilic, why not? c:

#5 Dat Darkrai

#6 Ugo/Dragontixan; (On par with me I'd say.)

#6 NingaristicNinga, good player

#7 Billabong/Jake, hawt

#8 Brodina5, he'd be higher, but I don't know where to put him, due to people saying he's lost his skill, and the only time I was in a match with him I killed him and his teammate.

#9 Tomo; dat toad.

#10 MiningPieCraft, yay pie c:
