Who wins in deathmatch if there are two people remaining?

Ive asked this question before and got about 10 different answers.
Some said it was whoever took the most damage
Whoever joined the lobby first
Whoever killed the other person in deathmatch
Whoever is closest to the center

WHo WINS!!!!?!?!!?
Can someone please answer this with 100% certainty that they are correct

If I'm not mistaken, it's chosen at random. You should contact a moderator or someone higher up to be sure.

Nobody wins. Well, the last time that happened to me was about 5 months ago, cause i get stuff done in DM. When I played, neither got a point onto their scores and it was like the game never happened.

I played a month or two ago and somebody did win. I don't recall it ever being like that, but my memory is horrible

I'm almost sure it is based on the the first letter of the players ign,it goes by abc's.

I think so too. One game I enderpearled onto corn in sg4 because there was a team. In the end, the dm countdown expired and I won. The other guys names started with a letter higher than c.

I always thought that the win should be determined on whoever has the most life left, that'd make it the most fair

The lightning is a different matter, it is random, and happens if anyone stands outside the ever-decreasing corn boundary. It's to prevent people running from corn. What I'm talking about, is the outcome when two people are left at the end of the 3 minute timer on deathmatch, until the server restarts.
