My reasoning makes sense. You ain't gonna complain to a game like battlefield that you cant play it beause your PC is to bad. The problem is on YOUR side not on their. MCSG has been nice to allow 1.6.4 players to still be able to play to reduce lag, that you cant use the sprint key in that version is YOUR problem.
I always try to understand the opposing side's point of view when in a debate, and I cannot understand yours.

What is the problem to allowing BSM if it gives no advantage at all. In fact, it's even worse than 1.7 sprint, so BSM users will still be at a disadvantage. Do you just enjoy having an unfair advantage in a game, just because your family is more fortunate than others?

Edit: This post is in response to SniperSnakez's post too.

I'd like to here a higher staff member's reasoning as to why bsm is still not allowed. As Evermore has stated well, what's the point of keeping something bannable when allowing it would help to even the playing field between 1.7 and 1.6 users?

Here's my stance:
I don't really care either way. Currently, I use 1.6 and I don't care if I'm at a disadvantage. I have FPS advantage. But why complain about it and make a big fuss if there's no point and it will soon be a non-issue? We've had this conversation enough and nothing ever happens...

BSM had an advantage to 1.7 in the fact that you can/could run right up against (parallel to) walls and fences and they wouldn't break your sprint. At least I never noticed it.

Alright here is my point of view in short. You got exactly the same advantage as everyone else. BSM is just not allowed and will never be, even when you are right. It is not MCSG fault that your pc can't handle 1.7 If you want sprint key, update to 1.7 Everyone is able to do this, just because your pc lags on 1.7 doesn't mean MCSG should allow BSM on 1.6

It has been over 2 months since 1.7 was released and this issue was created. The Optifine update is at another stand-still due to an issue with MCP, and who knows how long it will be until the issue is resolved.

Why shouldn't MCSG allow something that gives no aadvantage? Isn't that why we allow mods such as Optifine? Also, everyone has access to installing BSM too.

During my use of BSM on another server, I can say this is false. If you run against a wall with BSM, your sprint will still break until you leave contact with the wall.

Well dude, so what if you cannot PvP like a boss on 1.7, pick one or the other, not everyone can have both, if you want both get a better computer, because I spend money on my computer so I CAN have both.
I use 1.7, but of many of my friends have to use 1.6.

Yeah i honestly used BSM (didn't know it was not allowed), but 1.7 is better because with BSM you can't use the fishing rod technique.

According to MCGamer staff's recent poll, only a miniscule percentage of us still actively use 1.6.4. Gee, I wonder why? Couldn't have anything to do with Devin's newest preventative plugin or Optifine's creator being a lazy son of a rooster.

Well i can continue repeating why, but i'll just quit this conversation here. MCSG doesn't allow it This is one of the many threads about it and none has made Chad change mind.
