Why did 20 people leave the game?

I saw something odd last night. While in the lobby just before the game started, tons of sponsors joined kicking out most of the normal players, as a sponsor they couldn't kick me. Then, when the pre game started, they all left en mass!, leaving 4 of us playing a game (and I still lost, ha!). Is it a known abuse issue/problem? My reading of the rules suggests it's not permitted. Next time I'll take a screen shot if I think fast enough. Is there a known issue with some gang of players doing this?

I note the cool down period seems to have been increased to 5 minutes, presumably to prevent this sort of thing?

That sounds horrifying, its like walking to school except instead of kids theres a sudden horde of elephants that start rampaging through the streets and then suddenly disappearing, never to be seen again.

Probably when Joey was on. A bunch of children just leave and join games until they find him. The worst way to play MCSG.

hahaha, one day i played mcsg with 17 member teams. all the player were team. so all the ingame time, was peacefull so ingame, someone joined as spec, Instantaneously left

Ok, here is what it was, a VIP named Joey Graceffa records on these servers.
He has many fans that follow him from game to game.
When he leaves, his fans,(usually about 15) follow him to another lobby.
He probably left because he didn't like the map or something.
So yea, Mc_fails is right.

I've seen this before. A group of people was looking for Joey Graceffa, and if he wasn't in a server by the time it's pre-game, they move on to the next server trying to find him.

1) Almost everybody lagged out (depending on the map).
2) Joey Graceffa.
