Maps like SG1 have more, don't see people hating on that one.
And the size of the map makes up for that.
Why do you think Breeze Island is a low-quality map? It is actually one of the highest quality community maps ever submitted and put onto the servers. It's not ugly. The terraforming is great, the structures are detailed and fitting, and there are plenty of chests. The only reason why people hate Breeze is because of the water chases, but instead of removing the map completely, how about we edit the map and fix it? We don't have to sacrifice such a great map. And also, there aren't nearly enough tier twos on that map. So it isn't the map itself that is bad, it's just people's personal preferences, which can be fixed by making the mainland bigger or the map smaller.
I have to ask; is this a joke? You cannot honestly say that Breeze Island is one of the highest quality community maps ever, and that it has detailed structures...
Fortress Pyke: This map is probably the most underplayed map of all. People just, don't like this map. There are barely any structures, and the ones that they do have don't quite mix together well and they feel out of place. The terraforming in some areas is not very appealing and appears to be vanilla. There is also too much water, a similar problem to that of Breeze Island, which could be fixed if they aren't planning on removing this map any time soon.
Actually, it's World-Painted terrain. It's obvious if you know to look for it, but it's done very well so it's not extremely clear. I also play on it quite a lot, as a large number of people like it. The structures are very well done and look amazing. It's based on Game of Thrones, by the way, so the buildings DO mix together.
Lost Ridge: Is this map even on the servers anymore? Well, if it is, it's barely ever played, similar to Fortress Pyke. They're both like twins. They are very similar, forest, and a few giant landmarks here and there. Oh, and a few mountains. Looks just like the original terrain; trees and more trees, and some water and structures. It doesn't have anything special to it. It's just a plain old map; similar to any other map.
It was removed due to a crashing bug.
Lost Ridge is nowhere like Fortress Pyke. Lost Ridge is a map with a medieval theme, with pretty buildings and a large number of interesting landmarks.
Also... you say that 'trees and more trees and some water and structures' makes a map 'just a plain old map'. By that logic... every single map on the servers is a plain old map.
