Wow okay, clans are the biggest clan thing in MCSG and you don't even do anything with them. You've compared MCG to other servers previously so I'm going to do it right now. OCN is a server where the admins host scrimmages, stream them and organize them, OCN is doing really well because of this. The biggest thing that's going for mcsg right now is clans and yet you do absolutely nothing, you're editing titles and working on things like SGC, ZedChase, and Catching Fire, hardly anyone plays those servers because they are nothing compared to the clans and mcsg itself. Look at the forums, clans and teams has the most replies and discussions and yet we continue to ignore it, I know antster tried to do something but left and KitMencha tried to do something but failed. We need all the sr.staff helping and working to get something going for the clans because right now it's the best thing going for mcsg, trust me CAM you were an OG Blamph and I hope you can understand what I'm trying to get to in this post.
I like you.

The constant tournies at OCN are what keep the community alive and active tbh. If they didn't have the tournaments a lot less people would play it. If mcsg hosted tournies and clan stuff the community would probs grow even more.

Immensely. The fact that MCSG doesn't realize this astonishes me.

We realize that clans are very large in MCG, however in the past, every encounter staff has had with the clan world has ended in miserable failure, and hurting on both sides. Thus, we tend to take a hands off approach when attempting to deal with things.

Thing is, we are a gaming network; MCGamer. We've evolved beyond "just mcsg" and were constantly expanding our services. MCSG took a very long while to build up to its current stance, and in the same logic, we want our other game types to be just as popular. If they are unpopular, we try to improve to provide a happy playing experience.

Yes clans are very popular on the forums, we also have somewhere of 2.5 million people who play our servers, and we attempt to provide the best play experience possible, while maintaining reasonability. Yes, antster tried to get something off the ground which failed and ended in hurt and pain because it was another experience of both sides ending in headache.

As of this moment In time, the community as far as the future of such is looking very positive in the way our predictions look, with many things coming to the community world and improving the status of play. There are things coming soon to the clan world that are of monumental proportions that we haven't done in a very long time; however this cannot be discussed at this moment in time due to the way legality, and safety of originality works. Things will be looking very bright to come. We do recognize that the clan system is very popular and has a solid drive in the MCSG servers, and we do aim to do our best to help that while not attempting to "govern" the clans. HarborSeal, I know you, we used to be friends, trust me on this when I say things are looking up. We wish to get everything perfected before releasing any details, as such is the understanding in a business sense. Im disappointed in you for reacting in this manner, as it would be 15x easier to convey this sort of information via teamspeak, or a private message, and I know you to be very reasonable, and if you have any questions/comments/concerns I'm accessible on any form of communication we support.

However, on the note of Skype, do realize that we attempted once to operate on Skype which ended miserably failing due to security loopholes in Skype and various uncompromising issues. Its in this way that we've moved away from Skype and pursue other means. This is inherently a good idea, but not something feesable for the MCGamer staff to run. Thus, why we aren't supporting it, however, I won't say someone responsible can't run it.

yh like Badlion, shotbow, OCN, Kohi, all these other servers have a ton of big events really frequently
Badlion - 100+ players 1v1 tournies that are best 2/3 fights. 200+ man UHC's,

Shotbow - Annihilation tourney, Minez Suicide Saturday, Hcf SOTW, Hcf EOTW

OCN - Tournies/ mini tournies

Kohi- Eotw/SOTW
Like there's no really big event on mcgamer that can happen to bring hype to people. Like shotbow's last EOTW filled up to 350 people within 5 seconds after the restart. So many people were hyped for it. Idk I just wish there was something mcsg could host to be like one of those.

I'm at least glad that you have announced that there will be a future things with clans but what I don't understand is why the sr.staff don't get working on that now. It should be higher priority over the other gamemodes but in a way clans are another gamemode within a gamemode, there's a giant difference between a clan battle and a solo game because there are 8 players going against 8 players in a strategical intense battle. I have some ideas for the future of clans that I want to discuss with you and I'm sorry that I came off aggressive it's just that I am sick and tired of the clans not getting any support even though they're the most popular subject in MCGamer. Look at it like this: Forgotten is the number #1 clan and they bring so many people to mcsg competitively yet they're treated so bad by the staff, they're treated like cops treat gangs and I think that's unfair. Honestly, I am very happy with your announcement but what I'm wondering is, when? I really don't want this to end in ashes like The Walls did years ago. With that being said I think it would be in the best interest of the staff and the players to start supporting clans and helping them over the other gamemodes, clans can even become a gamemode itself.
If you think there's a need for me to get on the ts I will, but I think I stated everything here other than my ideas to help the clan community.

The sr staff have been and are working on it substantially, but we won't begin until it actually becomes feesable to do so... You understand this hopefully as realistically any other attempt made has ended in headaches on both sides and this wants to and needs to be done right. As for my "announcement" I merely said that the future of the community looks bright, take that as you will.

What is keeping it from being "feesable?"

I honestly was really looking forward to tournaments a year and a half ago. Really sad to see that whole idea abandoned without any mention from staff afterwards. It would have been a massive boost to the competitive community if MCSG were the first to implement them.

I hope you guys are still focusing on them in the background. I understand you guys are a network and want to focus on mastering your other not-as-popular gametypes like Zedchase, but I don't think settling on that fact while putting largely demanded MCSG features on the back burner is the right thing to do. I don't actually know if they are on the back burner though, I just hope they aren't. That's how large companies in the past have taken HUGE hits, by not focusing on what made them so great and powerful in the first place.

I'm going off topic and on a small rant now, so I'll stop. lol
