Current specs? If you don't know them, download a program called Speccy and take a screenshot/paste the summary here.
If you told us the parts that you actually have it would make it possible to make suggestions.

Alright, could you also open your side panel and find out how many watts your power supply is please? (The power supply is typically the big cube in one of the back corners of your computer.) Also, what were you doing on your computer while you ran the program? If you weren't doing anything, your CPU and your graphics card were a little bit too hot and it's possible they could overheat if they were changed.

I have a GTX 770 in my computer paired with an i7 4770k and 8gb of ram. I'm usually never below 400 fps. I'm locked at 120 fps while recording. I would say get a GTX 760, they're about $275, and it's a great budget card. Make sure it is compatible with your PC and it will fit first though.

If your willing to spend a little more money and get great performance, i would either get a better CPU (Central processing unit), or a GPU (Graphic processing unit). I would get a (Depending on your motherboard and specs, if they can handle it) a R9 270x. It costs $300 NZD but its one of the best price to performance cards on the market, this will also give you more and better FPS while recording. If you want to know more, PM me. :)
