Hello, so Im making this thread for those who are new or those who haven't noticed how the new MCSG Leaderboards work. I would refer this as ''The Leaderboard Blood Bath''

It all starts with someone who is determined to spend more that 18+ hours into mcsg, no-stop, no sleep, no breaks, nothing. Not saying everyone is like this, but some are. For example GoldEllipse was determined to be #1 on the leaderboards. He was the first person to reach 100 wins in the new leaderboards. No one could compete GoldEllipse in his prime time. After being #1 for quite a while, he couldn't hold the stress and the hate he was getting, being called a ''booster'', a ''hacker'' etc. Usually players up in the leaderboards get hate and these titles.
Anyways, about ''The Leaderboard Blood Bath'' I refer to this because its a cycle. A cycle that will come to an end when there is no more to fight for. GoldEllipse lost his position to croe97. Everyone was very surprised by this result and change in the leaderboards. After GoldEllipse not being #1, everyone started actually trying. Its like he had something that demotivated other players to try. But of course, can croe keep his position? No. TheMCPharaoh took his position.
Getting this a bit? I've been playing mcsg for about 2 years now and I've notice this in both Legacy and New leaderboards. There is always someone who is determined to try in the beginning, the first person gets surpassed, the second gets surpassed, then eventually the third one will be surpassed. This is all a cycle, that soon comes to an end.
Back in the old leaderboards, Gravey4rd Wasn't always #1 since the beginning of the MCSG Leaderboards, he competed for it, as the blood bath passed, players kept surpassing one another in the #1 spot. Gravey4rd out-competed each and single other player behind, and in front of him until he was #1 for a long period of time (6-7 months).

Hopefully everyone gets this cycle that I call ''The Leaderboards Blood Bath'' and everyone who's new or haven't noticed this, fully understands it now.

Nice opinion on the issue. I can see where you are coming from. Sadly most people don't understand what "boosting" is. :( Also with this what I have noticed is the guys at the top don't team with other guys at the top if at all. Furthermore, the decline of the no.1 is usually down to cold-streaks. We all get cold-streaks, but they vary person to person. :p

Nice thread! I'm glad that SG's leaderboards are getting some love and are changing often.

because new people with not as many wins see it isn't as hard to catch up on top 30 when it's only 400 wins other than 3000 on the legacy therefore people are trying to gain on them and take there spot for example I started 2 weeks ago an im on 181 wins already (I've been tryharding XD)

Dude, they might team every game, but so do clans………

But anyways, yeah I agree, but that's how leaderboards work, whoever is determined enough to stay on top, does. You could say it's not that much skill, but it is, getting wins in that amount of time. Just not as much as a W/L ratio leaderboards gives you.

well gg

As for OP, no I don't think it really works that way. Gravey was number 1 for nearly the whole time it was in v2 I believe, Noah caught up to him ONCE, when gravey moved to hive.

But now, I think that if these people tryharded as hard as they did now, they could have been top 50 lmao
