I've heard from many people that after the next update, the fishing rod will be unusable for combat.
As in, it won't be able to hit other players..

Is this true, or a false rumor?

I believe that bukkit is the one that makes fishing rods hit people. So maybe, if do they do something to make it so that bukkit will not be able to use this. (I am not to good at coding)

Bukkit makes fishing rods knock players back rather then pull people in.

not just rods though, the BSM added will change the way PvP Is played on MCSG
