Sure this somewhat relates to the topic at hand, but please take this "debate" to a private conversation or something.
Hey there, I appreciate your concern.
However, seeing as the ideas being conveyed between Darkrai and I are directly correlated to the thread topic, I am respectfully but assertively going to continue. You label it as a debate when it is simply a discussion in which different opinions and viewpoints are being exchanged.
Back on topic: What ends up happening is people simply hit others with the fishing rod and think they did something effective.
Although it puts them into a positive mentality, it gives them a false sense of success. Other than that, I really couldn't put it into words. Perhaps tomorrow once I am a bit more awake, I will elaborate a bit.
My personal thoughts in a TL;DR version of the entire subject of fishing rods is: Great for water team tactics and breaking sprint ( i.e. hitting them into a tree or wall while chasing them) however I have yet to see someone use said fishing rod against me in direct PvP in an effective way. Really all I see happening is just a slight delay from when our swords clash as the enemy pushes me back a block or two. Nothing more, nothing less.
