This is my response to the staff regarding there decision to disallow mods from applying for Rebels and Forgotten.

It is obvious that the recent events of today have caused quite an uproar throughout the community. Upon hearing hearing the news that mods could now join clans, we were all elated! But, when we found out mods could not apply for certain clans, specifically Rebels and Forgotten, we became angry. In an effort to quell the drama, staff have locked threads, and made posts such as this.

Whether a mod can join a clan or not, does not concern anyone but the mods. Why? Because it's not anyone's business but the mods. If a moderator has a problem with it, they can talk to us. Other than that, members need to stay out of issues that do not involve them. Thread locked.

This is where I personally have a problem. You can't use the "Doesn't involve you" excuse here, because it does involve us. This not only effects the moderators, but it effects the clans that are subject to this decision and the supporters of these clans. These groups deserve an explanation.

Also, you can't say "Its not anyone's business but the mods" when the Rebels and Forgotten are literally named in this decision. Like I mentioned above, these groups deserve an explanation as to why they've been singled out.

Now, because a statement hasn't been made, people are beginning to spread rumors. When no explanation is made, people are bound to ask questions. This causes people to make assumptions, and hence, the drama begins. I understand you're trying to protect those involved, but it's doing more harm than good.

TL;DR: Make a public statement, and threads like this one won't occur.

I just don't understand why we had to be singled out.
They could have made everyone happy and just let mods join any clan they wanted.
Guess not m8

Can you explain what happened? I thought Mods weren't allowed to join clans for quite a while?

Recently mods were given the option to join clans, but they are not allowed to join Forgotten or Rebels.

Pfft, at least I'd have the decency to add a, "Have a nice day. :D (Insert amusing image here)"

I can think of a couple reasons why there would be a blacklist, but I don't think I should be the one who to give that info out.

I'm sure Col. slasher, or someone else will show up eventually with a long, detailed, and reasonable explanation for this.

I'm sure they will, but if they would've done this from the start, there wouldn't be as much of a controversy over this.

This is rather sad and disappointing. This biased clan limitation rule on mods is actually allowed?
Who's in charge of this? Was there a vote? I can't take this rule seriously.

If ya'll are trying to form an Akatsuki Clan, well this ain't Naruto bay-bee, THIS IS MCSG.
We The Forgotten will prevail.

May I remind you all of Just_Hello's demotion, that resulted in both The Rebels and The Forgotten having absolute hissy fits about their friend being demoted, proving that they're immature, and with a mod being demoted in either clan, the ending would be astronomical.

But.

Tons of other people had hissy fits in the same way both clans did, but on a smaller scale. I mean, look back at Clan Wars 3, 2 different clans basically smashed the thing into smithereens cause one clan thought the other was playing "unfairly."

I'm kind of getting sick of clans in general to be honest, and with letting mods into them, who knows what this could do with the already flame spreading clan system.

Oh yeah, way to go staff for doing this again, where you blindly release a rule without explanation that riles the rest of the community up. Because nothing bad would ever come out of that, right?

They should have never even tried this. If mods want to be mods, I believe they should get the one negative affect about not being in clans. It's only for the sake of the forums.
