This is my response to the staff regarding there decision to disallow mods from applying for Rebels and Forgotten.
It is obvious that the recent events of today have caused quite an uproar throughout the community. Upon hearing hearing the news that mods could now join clans, we were all elated! But, when we found out mods could not apply for certain clans, specifically Rebels and Forgotten, we became angry. In an effort to quell the drama, staff have locked threads, and made posts such as this.
This is where I personally have a problem. You can't use the "Doesn't involve you" excuse here, because it does involve us. This not only effects the moderators, but it effects the clans that are subject to this decision and the supporters of these clans. These groups deserve an explanation.
Also, you can't say "Its not anyone's business but the mods" when the Rebels and Forgotten are literally named in this decision. Like I mentioned above, these groups deserve an explanation as to why they've been singled out.
Now, because a statement hasn't been made, people are beginning to spread rumors. When no explanation is made, people are bound to ask questions. This causes people to make assumptions, and hence, the drama begins. I understand you're trying to protect those involved, but it's doing more harm than good.
TL;DR: Make a public statement, and threads like this one won't occur.

Whether a mod can join a clan or not, does not concern anyone but the mods. Why? Because it's not anyone's business but the mods. If a moderator has a problem with it, they can talk to us. Other than that, members need to stay out of issues that do not involve them. Thread locked.
