The addition of Deathmatch Arenas.

I do love the thought of having Deathmatch Arenas as manyy maps corns are just not designed to have a fair deathmatch on.

However it is unnecessary and unneeded to give every map a unique deathmatch arena as a lot of maps corns are already perfect for deathmatch,
Some of these include:
Vareide SG1
Vareide SG4
Holiday Resort (Now that the grass has been removed)
Teweran SG2
Wyverns Wake
Fortress Pyke
Chrenobyl 2015

Maps that are in desperate need of DM Arena's are:
Vareide SG5: Water
Breeze Island: Fishing Rod trick
Teweran SG1: Water and Ice
Teweran SG3: Half slabs, gaps, separate levels
Vida Cova: Water, vines, separate levels
Origins: Separate levels
SG Highway: Not flat enough
Rugged Lands: Separate levels
Avaricia: Separate levels
Fortune Island: Grass and holes in the flooring
Moonbase 9: Separate levels
Remnant: Separate levels
Kharmunrah: half slabs
Lobby Games: Needs to be made larger, Separate levels

Things to bare in mind when making DM Arenas:
Do NOT add tall grass, glass blocks, half slabs, stairs/steps and ice blocks as you can not place flint and steel on them.
Do NOT add separate levels such as on Avaricia, Moonbase 9, Remnant and Vida Cova as players will be allowed to camp and run for the entire deathmatch resulting in an unfair fight.
Do NOT add water. Breeze Island, enough said.
Do NOT make them small, Lobby Games for example.

Also, contact the creators of the maps to allow them to add their own deathmatch arena.
Since they know the look and feel to their own maps the best. They would definitely make the best design.
For example, allow wronsiski and myself to make the deathmatch arena for Wyverns Wake.

Make all deathmatch flat as they make the best and most fair places to fight. Which is why many 1v1s are done at the airfield on SG4 or the football stadium on Valleyside.

I love doing deathmatch on Vida Cova. It's a really interesting combat area.

I don't think deathwatch arenas are very necessary, but if they are going to be added, I would hate to see all of the interesting corn designs go to waste. I don't want every deathwatch to be a flat slab of land with a few decorations. Having unique corns as an area for DM promotes thought and strategy and makes the game more fun, challenging, and interesting. If DM arenas are going to be made on maps with more interesting corns, I think the arena should incorporate the corn theme in some way.

I always liked the fishing rod trick on breeze though. I'm glad someone posted this, not sure why the map committee was making deathmatch arenas for SG 4 and TSG2

I agree, I love DM on Breeze Island. But to make it fair on other players all maps really should be made on a flat plane.

i dont think fortune island should change, since they just added hungry hills again they need to make sure people cant hide underneath the spawn again. but otherwise great notions

You left Fortune Island blank, I'm guessing it has something to do with the grass and holes in the flooring?

I think that would just be really boring. The point of MCSG is not to be super fair to everyone. If that was the case, why not have kits, no tiers, and all of the chests have the same stuff? Advantage will always be here, and I think giving advantages to those with smart strategy and planning is good.

Mainly because a few of the members in the map committee don't really play MCSG that much and are unaware of the fact you can't place FnS on tall grass, glass blocks, half slabs, stairs/steps or ice blocks :p

I do like separate levels though. Good for strategy.

Not when you're on Avaricia and all of a sudden you opponent runs to the top layer meaning they're able to camp for the entire 3 minutes of deathmatch.

Once on Teweran SG3 all three of us in deathmatch fell into the gigantic water reservoir thing, and it somehow turned out that nobody was killed at the time the timer ran out. So yeah that map could definitely use one. :p
