Perhaps the Devs could look at the settings and whatnot, test it on a separate server, and then see how it does. Then, they could copy some of the settings/features that worked, and left out the stuff that would make it incompatible.
a lot of the time there are legal issues that can prevent us from editing plugins and such. and also it not like you can just take 5 min and edit a big plugin like that to make it work with our servers. It took the developers a total of about 5ish + months (don't know the exact amount of time) to create the mcsg plugin. Keep in mind there still tweaking it to there liking.
also, you can't just take certain features out of a plugin and have it still work. it's really not as easy as you guys think to edit or create a plugin, plus the devs don't really have time to be working on stuff like this when we have a fully functioning anti-cheat plugin already installed.
you guys are going to take this and say that it doesn't work but it actually does. how often do you see someone flying in game, hitting someone while there back is turned (sometimes there is lag that can make it seem like this happens), or using forcefield. (Keep in mind forcefeild is where a player can hit multiple people in all directions and it doesn't matter which direction their facing. not to be confused with kill aura which only hits one person at a time, but depending on the hacked client your using, can auto-lock onto you so your character turns and follows the player. but its not always like that.)
Pretty sure hackers are a pretty serious thing to work on considering they are running wild all over the EU servers lol. It's not the plugin that get used, but its more the idea. You check out the plugin, and if its something you think you can work with, you tweak it a bit and make it your own, so that it would work on these servers.
Once again there is probably legal issues that prevent us from being able to use this. Think of it this way, lets say you wright a nice long essay for a contest that you spent a few months on and someone comes along, reads it, copies it and re-words a paragraph or two and submits it for the same contest and they win.
even if we get permission to use it that doesn't mean we get permission to tweak it to our liking or edit the code.
and as a general statement, I wouldn't go complaining about our anti-cheat without knowing how it works or what it is meant to block. our anti-cheat blocks about 90-99% of major hacks. granted there are a few that may be able to bypass but not very often.
the hacks you guys are complaining about are (I'm guessing) mostly some sort of sprint hacking, the occasional water walker, and any sort of kill aura/forcefield that hits you when your in front of them. our anti-cheat plugin blocks players from being able to hit players while there back is turned. not when there facing you. if we blocked it so players using hacks like that can't hit a player thats in front of them, that would also block any normal player from hitting.
