Hackers? Anti-cheat? Plug-ins? Make the hacking rules more strict?

Died to hackers five games in a row. Hackers are everywhere on the EU servers.

I see a hacker about every 20-30 games... Am I missing something here?

You, sir, are either very lucky, or somehow fail to recognize when someone is hacking (Possibly because you're too pro for them? :3)

I just spoke with the server owner and he is being EXTREMELY cautious with who he gives the plugin to. (Because if you have the source code, you can usually find a way around it) The only way he would hand it over is MAYBE if he spoke with @ChadTheDJ / @Forairan / another Developer or maybe Admin. I would post the server name, but that would be advertising, so take my word. :[

It's not as easy as that. We can't just go hay I like that plugin, let's add it to MCSG. Because the entire server is custom built there are a lot o plugins that might not be compatible so if we did get a different anti cheat plugin, it would probably have to be built by one of our devs, most likely from the ground up and as of right now, that have more important things to deal with.

Hacking should be perm ban, not one week ban :/

First offense is one week, second/third (unclear which) is permanent.
Also, what about false bans? People that were laggy? In other words, unfair bans, both accidental and on purpose.

Perhaps the Devs could look at the settings and whatnot, test it on a separate server, and then see how it does. Then, they could copy some of the settings/features that worked, and left out the stuff that would make it incompatible.

Pretty sure hackers are a pretty serious thing to work on considering they are running wild all over the EU servers lol. It's not the plugin that get used, but its more the idea. You check out the plugin, and if its something you think you can work with, you tweak it a bit and make it your own, so that it would work on these servers.

I'd say hacking is a pretty serious issue. If there is a hacker in every game, then its not fun and almost becomes nearly unplayable.

Hacking should be a permanent ban.
By giving 7-day bans, they know they will get to play in a week, and continue to ruin others' experience playing MCSG.
By making it stricter, you will discourage hacking and make sure hackers never come back.

It's also common sense that hacking is definetly not allowed.
