I'm actually the same, except no backup sword and my fishing rod is second, just because i like the whole hit with rod then sword, always works

I only really have the backup sword in case I spazz out when another player attacks me and I end up equipping a carrot instead of a sword. It would be faster to scroll too.

Yeah good idea, I'd normally have a joke weapon there, if I'm dominating, you know a diamond spades, iron pickaxe

I don't know if this is used widely or not but I usually have my quick bar something like this:

1st slot: Sword
2nd slot: Bow
3rd slot: Flint n Steel
4th slot: Fishing rod
5th slot: Golden apples.
6th slot: Backup sword.
The rest of the slots are my food items.

I don't approve.
IMO, Sword, bow, flint and steel, food in all other slots and fishing rod in the last, making it easier to switch from sword to rod.

well yeah thats with mine rod is more important, if your going to be using a bow normally u are far enough to have time to switch when a fishing rod is an urgent thing that normally a life saver

Fishing rod might not be normally a life saver, if you know the right tactic

Learnt this from someone, but, set all the corn chests on fire whilst shifting, only wastes one tick of your FNS, but constantly kills.

This may be obvious to most but only ever put Armour on if you have the firepower to back it up. Putting on Armour(especially tier 2 types) automatically makes you a target. If you have no weapon and you put on tonnes of iron Armour you will be hounded for most of the game. Be a ghost by just not wearing Armour and blending in, until you have a good weapon to back it up.
