Would they consider it? I have no idea... I assume not, hence I wasn't asked... If they gave the chance to explain the reason, that'd be great.
I would really hope they would at least give you a chance to explain

Its true. It is required for several reasons. One being people could fake their age easier if we cannot hear them. And Like Mkilop said Above, Trying to take care of people in game would be extremely difficult. As well, its helpful for you when players make a fit after you deal with them, and get on ts and complain. You need to be mature enough to (in a commanding tone) Let them understand their consequences. I know I do not take text chat seriously in teamspeak. and regular players wont either. Its a respect thing, if you can hear someone, you will have more respect for them. Like someone said above, is that the only two exceptions to this rule is if you are deaf or mute. As well, microphones help to get to know the person behind the computer. Moderators become close friends, and only text chat leaves friends feeling disconnected. As well (I could be wrong on this) this rule was made because they used to accept people without mics a while ago, and someone ruined it for everyone. its a constant, An individual ruins it for the group... Sorry your mod app was denied for this, but its a standing rule that must be followed for the safety of MCSG, and things of that nature!
