Good work on the hub lobby, and the parkour in the the revamped lobby. Other then that, Lost ridge was removed, Fallen Empire is never played, and most people like the original Solar Frost. I think that Red Forest has done better with less members. Red Forest has made maps that are actually played.

I actually think the new solar frost is better, simply because you don't chase people around corn for 10 minutes every game now

Treacherous Heights is not played often, Moonbase 9 is played sometimes, if it doesn't crash, and Icarus lost the PMC contest and isn't on the servers. I actually like Moonbase 9, but it always seems to crash whenever it is voted.

I like Red Forest; I love there unique map concepts, but saying that Team Elite doesn't have popular maps while Red Forest does is a complete lie.

This is not a place to compare build teams. This thread was simply to thank Team Elite for all their hard work.

Criticism is necessary to improve, if you are continuously told you are the best you will not strive to do any better. Fallen Empire was a unique idea, but in the end the goal of a build team is to produce maps that people like to play on.

Not every map can be a small map with superflat land and chests everywhere...

I know that criticism is needed to improve. I 110% completely agree with you. But there's other ways besides just saying "Oh, this team is so much better". Instead, you could give tips on how to improve a map they're working on, etc.

team elite does everything for MCSG now and team elite could build better than any of the haters of TE
team elite is the best but it does stick there maps dont get voted a lot

My opinions on TE.

They're a relatively new build team when comparing to the more well known teams out there, FyreUK, Vareide etc..
And all in all they've done pretty well.

They've made a few mistakes along the way but thats expected.

Lost Ridge: Was a fantastic map! One of my favourites, however there was a problem with it and it crashed regularly, which is why it was taken down. Hopefully it'll come back soon!

Fallen Empire: What a great idea for a map! 2 corns, a deathmatch arena..
The only problem with it is it was rushed. The terraforming wasn't the best, done in less than a day..
And the buildings/structures aren't.. the most detailed in my opinion.
It could have been one of the best SG maps ever made if it hadn't been rushed.
I hope they bring out a revamped version one day.. That would be amazing.

The TE lobby: I absolutely loved that lobby. The idea, all the little secrets, the mini map room.. It was a brilliantly made lobby and in my opinion is their greatest build yet.

The Hub: I do like the hub and the structures.. My only problem is its far too big. When someone with a lower spec'd computer is forced to use only tiny render distance its very hard to tell where they're going.
It's easy to get lost on it. Yes they're signs, yes theres a compass, yes they have the jump pads..
But players prefer visual rather than signs or tools to get them from A to B.
If the bridges/paths were half the size it would improve the lobby greatly.
Without trying to advertise another server.. there is another hub out there which in my opinion works perfectly.
Its small, its simple. It may not have such grand structures as the TE Hub but it is much more effective.
I'm a designer IRL and you're always meant to follow the key rule of design. KISS.. Keep it Simple Stupid.
That's not me criticising TE, thats me offering constructive criticism.

The revamped lobby: Wow, it's amazing to see the old lobby back.. So much so that I'm always forced to type out "Team at fountain!!" Sarcastically of course.. :3
I just think I would have just preferred the original version and I don't think it needed to be revamped.

And just to correct your original post..
Khamuranah isn't a TE map and nor is Solar Frost.
Khamuranah is a map created by JoshKey on his own before TE formed and Solar Frost was made about 6 months before TE formed. The only reason they're in the credits is because they hosted it on their build servers while Echo_555, Creepy_Crawler, myself and a few others revamped it.

However we offer them many thanks for doing so :)


In conclusion, TE isn't the best build team out there.. But thats an impossible claim for any team to make.
Yes they've had their mistakes but they've also achieved some pretty amazing things.
They'll continue to grow and develop their skills and I guarantee they'll create brilliant things in the future.

In the meantime I wish them all the best for the future and can't wait to see what they bring out next!

I agree that members of Team Elite can build well. It can be a great build team when they put their heart into it, but I feel like that's not a lot as of late. The Lost Ridge map was made a long time ago. I liked that map, and that may have been the only map they completed of their own free will.

Lately with maps, they've been told to do this or that, and often it was rushed because of a deadline that had to be met, such as Fallen Empire or the new lobby.

The problem is, they aren't working on their own maps, they are working on what they are told to do. I feel that Team Elite has been forced to work on so many projects as of late that they haven't had the time to work on their own.

I was a member of Team Elite for a while, but then I might have gotten kicked out (I can't tell) and I definitely resigned. The reason I resigned was because I never got to help with anything. I was in the build team to build things, not to fly around the server looking at previous projects or to watch people build while I'm forced to stand around and do nothing.

With every project Team Elite worked on while I was in the team, I asked dozens of times what I can do, and then I might have been ignored while the others had their own ideas in mind that I guess I couldn't help with. Occasionally, I would be given a simple thing to help with and then I would finish and try to work on more but then be ignored again.

I also noticed that it seems to only be the staff that really get to work on the projects. There must be at least 100 members in Team Elite, but less than a half-dozen get to work on projects outside of the officers and leaders.

The members in Team Elite must be some of the best out there, but a lot of their members are ignored as I was. All of the builders in there could make great maps individually, but not as a team because Team Elite doesn't let them.

I may just be out of the loop here, but this is definitely true for me (I can't judge whether I'm a good builder or not, but I was in Team Elite and the above did happen to me). I think Team Elite is great, but it hasn't reached it's best yet and it can't until it starts working as a full team.

As for all the comparing of build teams, I will just give everyone a wise tip;
Don't ever say that a build team is the best build team of MCSG, regardless which team you are talking about. It will only cause flamewars to be made. A team can be good, very good or less good. But always give us others an explanation to why a certain build team is very good, or less good otherwise you will seem biased by just saying "Theyr de bezt!", "Dey s0x, Tem L0lipöp is better!". Explain your posts.
