It's all based on opinion, good sir. So at the same time, I can say it's a horrible map.
Demon's Breeze lags. Then people come up with the solution that you just turn your sound off and it goes away, but seriously, why would I want to turn my MC sound off just so I can play one round of MCSG? Losing sound is almost like losing sight.
You know what's funny? I used to joke around with some friends of mine, that if they ever took Breeze Island and just filled it up with lava, then it would never get voted ever again, and maybe people would actually play another map.
And when they actually did that with Demon's Breeze, I thought it would never get voted. I'm almost shocked the community took a liking to this map and not some others. I personally, after playing both maps, think that Demon's should take the boot simply because it just has more issues than Freeze.
Honestly, on the forums, I've seen 2 reasons for legitimately hating on Freeze, while I've seen dozens for hating on Demon's. It lags, and to play without lag you have to go deaf for one game, it's ugly, the traps (AKA THOSE DAMN HOLES ON THE BRIDGE) get annoying at times, and I think Freeze had more effort put into it anyway, even though taking a map already made and just adding some new blocks to it, is not really involving much effort for creativity.
MCSG has just milked this whole, "Breeze Thing" too much, and honestly, I'm tired of it. Breeze Island gets put into the game and it's a Smash Hit. I don't like it, but hey, I'll deal with it every now and then. (Which back then was every 1,000 games.) Then MCSG comes up with the brilliant idea, that we just need more, and that Breeze isn't enough. So they take two incarnates of Breeze, add them in, then they say that they want one out, then I hear that both are going out, then there's this thread.
I'm gonna be the one negative-Nancy and say that they should just remove both. If the community is having such a struggle deciding which one has to go, either you have both stay, or give them a nice throw-away to the trashcan. Whichever works best.
