Why do you think Breeze Island is a low-quality map? It is actually one of the highest quality community maps ever submitted and put onto the servers. It's not ugly. The terraforming is great, the structures are detailed and fitting, and there are plenty of chests. The only reason why people hate Breeze is because of the water chases, but instead of removing the map completely, how about we edit the map and fix it? We don't have to sacrifice such a great map. And also, there aren't nearly enough tier twos on that map. So it isn't the map itself that is bad, it's just people's personal preferences, which can be fixed by making the mainland bigger or the map smaller.
This is why there needs to be a community poll about the maps that should be removed. Because everybody has different opinions on maps. Some people like Freeze Island, some people hate it. Some people like Moonlight Lake, some people hate it. We cannot base our actions on what WE think of things, we have to let the community decide, and if it's in favor of them and you don't agree, well you're going to have to realize that there are over a million other players they have to please and they aren't going to change or add or remove any maps just because you don't like them. Simply, leave the lobby and join another server. It isn't hard avoiding maps you dislike.
So, without further to do, I present to you; the maps I think suck, and should be removed:
- Fortress Pyke: This map is probably the most underplayed map of all. People just, don't like this map. There are barely any structures, and the ones that they do have don't quite mix together well and they feel out of place. The terraforming in some areas is not very appealing and appears to be vanilla. There is also too much water, a similar problem to that of Breeze Island, which could be fixed if they aren't planning on removing this map any time soon.
- Lost Ridge: Is this map even on the servers anymore? Well, if it is, it's barely ever played, similar to Fortress Pyke. They're both like twins. They are very similar, forest, and a few giant landmarks here and there. Oh, and a few mountains. Looks just like the original terrain; trees and more trees, and some water and structures. It doesn't have anything special to it. It's just a plain old map; similar to any other map.
- Kharmunrah: Another member in the underplayed club of maps. It's a stone brick pyramid stuck in the middle of a desert. Nothing special there, really. There's some random jungle area which I don't quite understand it's existence, and some kind of castle-y type area, a few houses and sand structures here and there. There is way too much open land with nothing in it. And then you get into this area with tall slender mountains which just doesn't fit in. Overall, similar to the other maps, everything just doesn't intertwine correctly and just looks random.
- *The Fallen Colossi: I put an asterix next to this map because it was just added and I would like to give it a bit of time. From above, it looks decent, but when you're on ground level, it just looks like a bunch of ridges and mountains and arches that are so different from each other, they don't transition well. You go from an icy ravine, to obsidian arches in the middle of a desert, to grassland. It honestly is just very random, and from a player who doesn't know the story behind it, it looks unappealing (I'm not saying the story changed my opinion very much).
