Moderator Applications To strict?

Hi everyone, my most recent mod application was declined yet again which now i'm getting really annoyed about. It's clear I do want to be a moderator on mcsg and I try the best off my ability to write my moderator application and I have not gotten far with it all off them have been declined. I don't think it's fair that because off the teaching methods off which they are taught and have learned by themselves and there teachers they loose out on being an mcsg moderator that they want to be. Just saying so don't post hate.

I will not agree. The Sr. Staff, Owners, etc. TRY to make it strict. They don't want anyone and anything doing the WRONG thing to the MCSG community, thus making it worst. I love MCSG, I would never want anyone just screwing up MCSG and NOT doing their duties. I appreciate all of you mods, and I hope you agree.

I got declined too. I am only 12 but I am programming java, I've been doing it in 1 year but yeah. I am only 12. I should been declined even if i was 13 years old and have been programming in 5 years! They want to be sure that they get good moderators/java devolepers etc... I am going to make one more application in 2 years when I am 14...

Why are you complaining then? When an experienced player and quite frankly one of the best people to ask for help besides a member of staff offers you their time and effort you decline. This thread is pointless if you're not even asking for help or accepting it. I will happily help just like many others will, if you don't want our help it's your own fault and you don't have the right to complain.

It's not solely about your app. I'm sure a lot of other factors are taken into account (behaviour in-game, etc.).

No clue how you could possibly know this. It's like saying for a job application it's all based on your resume and interview, while I know for a fact that there are background checks on your social media profiles and whatnot to see if you're an appropriate fit (that is if the employer gives a half-ass about his business).

He's somewhat right. If you apply we look at your application, past bans and activeness (only if they haven't been on in weeks). If you get accepted for an interview that's when we do more in depth review.

I got declined for it being short...

If you got it declined for being too short, that probably means that your explanations of some things were too short, and you probably need to elabotate. They didn't just take 1 look at it and say "NOPE!", because it wasn't as long as they wanted.

I spent 2 hours on it once and showed 4 off my friends and it got declined.

I spent 3 hours on my draft alone, lol...

If you really don't think you deserve to be mod and haven't made a large commitment to the server, then it's probably best to not apply. darkrai, for example, has over 20 days alive time on MCSG, which is quite a large amount. I suggest if you have less than say... a week, then you aren't active enough or haven't been active for long enough. Not to discourage, but activeness plays a large role.
