I feel like the fishing rod makes it an even playing ground actually. If you are good with a fishing rod, you can typically outweigh the others' ping advantage.

First off you need to be really obvious if your going to address a large amount of people that might not understand any inside jokes you have!!111111111!!!1!!!

Be unprofessional, if your joking, why spend time on it to make it perfect, imperfect jokes don't make it any worse (false info and such), it's supposed to be funny, and that's it.

Use expression, this is your best friend when joking, as much as you can put it in, it will make people laugh, be it memes, gifs (NOT JIFS), this will help in the unprofessional department.

Seriously, it's already tough enough to see if someone is being sarcastic or not on, tougher on the internet.

A 'fair playing ground', while desirable, does not mean everyone having the same chance to win. It would be fair if nobody had an inherent advantage given by factors other than their skill or talent for the game. This is unachievable anyway in PC gaming because of hardware/connection differences between players.

You wanting fishing rods to be removed gives the impression that you're sick of being outplayed and want a shortcut to doing better, to which the answer is a resounding no.

If someone knows how to use a fishing rod - and you learn! Why take her away from someone, it is a tactical weapon. When everyone learns to use the lighter rod then again there will be a fair playing field, friend. Not worth it to cancel something that you can't learn and won't have to cancel.

It's funny, because before 1.7 and the sprint button the person who was better at PvP was better at double-tapping "w." Sadly, the sprint button made melee PvP based on ping and luck with hit detection. As a result, tactics such as rod-spamming became a thing in order to get an advantage on other people and ruined MCSG in my opinion. Unfortunately, rods do make the playing field more even rather than less, and even though I hate them I was basically forced to learn how to use them in order to be able to even compete.

idk I feel like rods have gotten to the point where everyone spams them, would be a good change of pace from the usual defensive run away bow & fns spam, then rod 300 times before hitting him
